About Artist

Alexei Gurschii, also known as Alex Gurskiy, is a contemporary artist from Moldova renowned for his innovative and large-scale artworks. His work includes paintings, illustrations, and murals, with a particular focus on abstract and modular art and symbolism. Gurskiy gained significant attention for creating the largest modular painting in the world, titled "The World," which consists of 60 individual canvases. This work showcases a balance of good and evil through its depiction of various global themes, highlighting his ability to merge intricate details with broad, conceptual ideas.

Artist Statement

He has held numerous exhibitions internationally, including shows in Switzerland, France, USA, Japan, Romania and his home country of Moldova. His first solo exhibition in Moldova, titled "N#1," featured bold and sensual abstract paintings of women, a recurring subject in his art. Gurschii often draws inspiration from the beauty and complexity of femininity, incorporating portraits of well-known women, including local celebrities and international figures.
